Bernadette Christi

My work is grounded in over 30 years of experience in the field of mental health, alongside extensive training in somatic therapies, attachment-based work, depth psychology, and energy-based practices. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals navigating trauma, grief, addiction, and significant life transitions—in settings ranging from community-based care to private practice.

Over time, my approach has evolved to reflect a deeper understanding of how healing actually occurs. This work honors both the intelligence of the body and the deeper meaning carried within your experience. It is not about fixing what is broken, but about supporting the natural movement toward integration that becomes possible when we slow down and listen more closely.

In addition to my clinical training, my work has been shaped by sustained personal practice and inner exploration. I believe that the depth I am able to hold with others is directly connected to the depth I continue to cultivate within myself.

This is a practice rooted in presence, respect, and a genuine commitment to the unfolding process of healing—one that recognizes each person’s path as unique, and meets it with care and integrity.

My Values

I hold the belief that life’s challenges are not here to punish us, but to awaken us—inviting a deeper relationship with ourselves and with the truth of our experience.

I value a way of working that is grounded in respect—for the nervous system, for the pace of each individual, and for the innate intelligence that guides the process of healing. This work supports a gradual return to the body and a reconnection with your own inner clarity and knowing.

When painful or disruptive experiences are understood within a larger context of growth and integration, they can become gateways rather than obstacles. From this perspective, symptoms are not problems to eliminate, but signals inviting deeper listening, care, and realignment.

My role is not to impose answers or direct outcomes, but to walk alongside you as your process unfolds. I offer a therapeutic space rooted in presence, integrity, and authenticity—where you can begin to trust yourself more fully and move through your life with greater awareness and choice.

If you feel drawn to this work, you can expect an environment that is steady, compassionate, and attuned to your pace. Together, we support healing that is embodied, meaningful, and aligned with who you are becoming.

My Training

For more than thirty-five years, I have devoted myself to understanding the complexities of healing across the lifespan. My work is grounded in extensive training, ongoing consultation, and decades of clinical experience.

I draw from trauma-informed, somatic, attachment-based, and depth-oriented approaches, including Somatic Experiencing, Integral Somatic Psychology, and relational and psychodynamic therapies. This integrative foundation allows me to work flexibly and thoughtfully, attuning to the nervous system, emotional patterns, and deeper unconscious processes shaping your experience.

Rather than applying a single method, I tailor the therapeutic process to meet you where you are—supporting change that is not only insightful, but embodied and sustainable.

Therapy Is Not
One Size Fits All

Each person comes to therapy with a different history, set of experiences, and way of coping. The work is not one-size-fits-all.

Together, we focus on understanding what is happening beneath the surface and working with it in a way that supports meaningful, lasting change.
