Just the FAQs
Do You Take Insurance?
I am an Out-of-Network provider. This means that I am not in-network with any insurance providers. What this means is the following:
If your plan has out-of-network benefits, your insurance provider typically will reimburse you directly after you have met your deductible. I encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider to find out how much they will reimburse you for therapy services at Blue Dahlia Counseling, PLLC
You are responsible for the full cost of therapy sessions upfront.
I will provide you with a Superbill on a monthly basis that you will then submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement
Please contact me directly if your insurance company needs CPT coding information for Superbills.
Payment is collected securely through Stripe, a HIPAA-compliant payment platform. You may securely store a preferred credit card on file, and you can update or change your payment information at any time. Cards are charged after each session. Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards may also be used, if permitted by your plan.
How much will it cost to be seen?
Sessions are $150 for a 60-minute individual psychotherapy session.
In accordance with federal law, all clients receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges prior to the start of services. If you have any questions about your estimate or would like to discuss your care, please feel free to contact me.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my therapy session?
I understand that unexpected things can arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, are charged the full session fee. Exceptions may be made in cases of illness or emergency, at my discretion.
How frequently will sessions occur?
Therapy is most effective when there is consistency, space to build a trusting relationship, and time to understand your concerns more fully. Weekly sessions are often recommended, especially at the beginning of our work together. Depending on your needs and what is clinically appropriate, I will work with you to establish a schedule that best supports your process.
